SERENITY STATION, Shadow - Recent days have seen an increase in fighting around Shadow. A few days ago saw what have been called Alliance Loyalists attacking a small ship en route to Hale's Moon. Today saw a full on battle both in space and on the moon itself.

 




Cargo Captain Jai Raghilda had her shuttle damaged by gunfire. She found shelter on a derelict Firefly-class ship as the 12th Independent Air Calvary scrambled from the planet's surface. Civilian ships came in to assist in picking up Raghilda under threat of arrest from the attacking ship, which claimed to be Alliance military. All Independent military and civilians made it to the surface safely.

A full battle occured when what Independent military called Alliance Loyalists broke through the asteroid shield. After a space battle between fighters, the Loyalists headed to the surface of Shadow where they proceeded to bomb the fort and the nearby town of Serenity Station. A civilian cargo ship en route to land at Serenity Station, the Eureka Maru, took some hits while trying escape the fight and the CNS shuttle on hand to cover the battle took some damage.

"Why am I being fired upon by Independant ships, then told em who i was," said Shinn as he was repairing his ship afterwards. "They apparently have not seen the Maru before, and thought it was an alliance bomber."



The Loyalists landed some people on the surface who were then eliminated by both civilians and the military. Damage to the town was light with some of the AAC at the fort taking some damage.
