It's been one hell of a ride.
Thanks to each and everyone of you who have visited, roleplayed, landed your boat, attended a cage fight, took part in a gunfight against the tongs, visited the carnivale, took tea with a registered Companion, chased an escaped monkey, gave an Alliance officer a false Ident...
We've had a great time on ED, we've enjoyed only having to get involved in a very minor way from the GM point of view and have been very, very pleased with how folks have been able to grab the premiss of the setting and craft their own RP stories to interweave and entwine like the vignettes of lives the touch (or not) at the 'Verse's busiest port.
Sadly however, time has come for us to hang up our guns.
If all available rentals were taken on ED we'd still not come close to breaking even. It was never about making money, as we always say we regarded it as a labour of love. However, amongst a host of other reasons, the financial situation is as compelling as any.
And so it is not without some sadness we must let you know that we will be closing the doors on the Eavesdown Docks sim.
From the practical point of view, for those of you who might want to visit for a while longer, or pick up your existing belongings, we haven't advertised it for sale as such yet, so we don't have a timescale but tier date is the 6th of September and ideally it'd be better to be gone by the then.
We're, we feel quite rightly, proud of ED. And for that we thank all those who helped us out. Not just our admins/officers such as Iskrin, Calina and Zade. A RP sim is no better than the players who play there, so thanks to you all for making ED the success it has been.

Thank you to everyone who has sent me good wishes and came and checked on me personally.
All of the well wishes, good company, and just genuine concern for my well being has touched me more than you all will know.
It is what makes Browncoats some of the best people both in SL and in RL the best people to know.
Thank you so much.
It is exactly 5 weeks ago today that I had my accident.
Due to the pain and the foggy haze from heavy drugs its been a blur mostly.
Ive tried to be productive and build in Second Life but the focus wasnt there.
I have healed up though and my back has some functionality with the pain but still cant walk on foot.
Im hobbling about on crutches still BUT I have enough function in foot that I can drive so, woohoo, I can get out of house without someone else driving me. ![]()
Anyway, Im off hard drugs, on ADVIL, which is an adjustment for the pain control to say least.
I see the Doc in a few days to see just how well Ive healed and when i can go back to work.
But enough about me...The building and day to day business is what I need to update you on.
If LONDINIUM is in one of your precious 25 group slots I need to give you something to make it worth being there ![]()
- Saturday Night Shindigs at Club Londinium:
They will be returning soon. I cant give you a date yet, but Im hoping sometime in August...sooner than later ![]()
- New Products:
Before my accident I was very close to releasing two new shuttles and the huge warship RAZORBACK.
Im sad to say that I have tried to work on finishing them up but my physically ability and the laptop Ive used the past few weeks to stay in touch with outside world and SL just was not up to the task for building.
Too slow and laggy.
Good news is that I went to my local computer store here in Atlanta and I have a new Desktop computer; Better....Stronger....Faster!
<Bionic Noise and Desktop leaps off desk and jumps out window in slow motion>
AW DAMIMIT!!! ![]()
In all seriousness, I am going to start the packaging process for the shuttles...just have notecards and then test pilots to review to take them from BETA and on to GOLD.
After that, RAZORBACK has to be tested, scripts cleaned up and permed properly, install a few more scenes in some rezzers, then cleanup, write notecards, and send off to test pilots. Once they sign off on it, it will go from BETA to GOLD.
I cant give a date...it will be ready once its ready..... but I can tell you I hope it will be soon.
